Is the writing on the wall for the free online backup providers?
Another one bites the dust HP’s Upline, their entry into the all you can eat online backup market for €59.00 per year has closed. Just over a year since its launch, this also follows similar moves by Yahoo’s online briefcase service,AOL’s xdrive and Medimax online services based on similar models.
It really only leaves Mozy and Carbonite in this space with the former being aquired by EMC.
Which leads us to the question are the free or nearly free online backup providers really reliable enough for you to use with precious company data?
